Visual Studio Code Remote Workflow

You can connect Visual Studio Code to a SwissGPU workstation using SSH. You can edit files, open terminals, install extensions, and run development tools directly in the editor.

Visual Studio Code runs on your local computer. Applications run on the SwissGPU workstation. This setup allows you to develop locally while using the full hardware resources of the machine.

This workflow works well for GPU compute libraries and machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, CuPy, cuDNN, and cuDF / RAPIDS.
